"Therefore, pray without ceasing."  1 Thessalonians 5:17

Submit a Prayer Request
Family of Pam Honeycutt Horton
(submitted by Joy Cannady on 4/17/2010 at 11:56 AM)
Pam Is one of my dearest and oldest friends. We met in 1st grade. I introduced her to her husband, Cecil and was her maid of honor at their wedding. They moved out to Tulsa, Ok where Cecil works as an airplane mechanic. Tuesday of last week, Pam was found dead in her bathroom. She was 54, only 2 months older than me. She did not have any heart problems that we knew of. I have been told she had cardiomyopathy and her heart gave out. I don't know the results of the autopsy yet. She and Cecil lost a daughter to lukemia. They helped to raise her 2 grandsons. She has a son in the Army stationed in Washington state. She and Cecil had the kind of marriage that people envied. He is heartbroken and I am just in disbelief and shock. There were 4 of us girls that ran around together. There is a picture of us on prom night on my facebook. Pam and I are in the middle. I know that Pam is in heaven, Cecil, her son, Chris, her sister, Lisa, 2 grandsons and 2 neices have a lot to deal with now and need our prayers.

Frank Covington and Family
(submitted by Mary Covington Verret on 1/20/2010 at 11:40 PM)
Dear Sherwood, My brother Frank was diagnosed with a Cancerous Brain Tumor which was removed. In the course of the surgery there were some damage done to nerves in his throat and is unable to swallow. That lead to a feeding tube being surgically put into his stomach. Frank finally lost 50 pounds and his doctors have reduced his diabetes medicine. With the pathology of the tumor known to be Cancer; the Doctors at the Durham VA have offered Radiation and Chemotherapy which will start on the 25th. Frank was allowed to come home on the weekend of his birthday Jan 10th. Where he has a hospital bed and his wife Ursula at his side. Frank is in the home of my father with his family. My father is with me (Mary Margaret) and my husband David in GA. Carmen and her son have their own apt, but still reside in Fayetteville. My father and I will be up to visit this weekend (22-24, jan) and hope to be able to visit as often as possible. Please keep all of us in your prayers. Frank and Ursula (Uschi) will have to do a lot of traveling back and forth to Durham and the treatments will be very hard on Frank; and Uschi as she stands by him and takes care of him. Thank you all Mary Margaret
